CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Isolation and reactivity of sodium benzyl cations
Carbanions are an important class of reactive species used as nucleophiles in C-C bond-forming reactions. Such reactive carbanions are generated by deprotonating relatively acidic C-H bonds using strong bases like sodium/potassium hydroxides or amides ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Some spectroscopic, kinetic and equilibria studies of Cyano- and nitro- substituted anisoles and phenols and their reactions with nucleophiles [PDF]
The reactions of ring-activated alkyl aryl ethers with nucleophiles have been examined. The main pathways involve attack by the nucleophiles at the alkyl carbon to give substituted phenoxide ions, or at ring carbon atoms to give σ-adducts.

Surfactant and temperature effects on paraben transport through silicone membranes
This study investigates the effects of two surfactants (one anionic and one non-ionic) and controlled modifications in temperature (298–323 K) on the permeation of two structurally similar compounds through a silicone membrane using a Franz diffusion ...

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
