Solubility of sodium formate in aqueous hydroxide solutions

open access: yes, 1980
Measurements were made of the solubility of sodium formate at 21, 60, and 120 °C In aqueous solutions of sodium hydroxide. The concentratlon of sodium hydroxide ranges from 0 to 40% w/w.

CVD Grown Hybrid MoSe2–WSe2 Lateral/Vertical Heterostructures With Strong Interlayer Exciton Emission

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable bottom‐up CVD methodology, based on liquid transition metal salt precursors, is presented for the controlled growth of two high‐quality MoSe2–WSe2 heterostructures (HSs): purely lateral (HS I) and hybrid lateral/vertical (HS II), by simply adjusting precursor concentration.

Hydrophobic MFI‐Type Zeolites via Alkali‐Cation‐Induced Defect Healing: Implications for Adsorbent and Catalyst Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Sub‐stoichiometric amounts of Na+ or K+ enhance defect healing during Silicalite‐1 (MFI) and TS‐1 calcination by promoting Si–O–Si annealing and healing framework vacancies. The resulting defect‐free zeolites are more hydrophobic and show improved butanol/water separation and improved activity and selectivity in the epoxidation of 1‐hexene, offering a ...
