Morphotropic Phase Transitions in Mixed Sodium-Potassium Niobate System
Ferroelectrics, 2004Ceramic pellets of different compositions of Na 1−xKxNbO 3 system (x = 0 to 0.5) have been prepared using ‘solid-state reaction’ method. Pellets of 6 mm diameter have been prepared under two conditions; first, the calcined mixtures were pressed at 0.2 MPa and sintered in a tube furnace opened at both ends; and second, the calcined mixtures were pressed

POTASSIUM-SODIUM-RUBIDIUM NIOBATE SINGLE CRYSTALS AND ELECTRIC PROPERTIES
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2009Potassium-sodium-rubidium niobate single crystals are grown using an original pulling down method, to improve their composition change during a crystal growth, by means of co-doping of small ionic size sodium and large ionic size rubidium into potassium niobate. Even by the co-doping, single crystals can be grown with orthorhombic single-phase at room

Synthesis and processing of nanosized sodium potassium niobate powders
Materials Science and Technology, 2009Sodium potassium niobate powders have been produced successfully using a Pechini sol–gel method modified with a novel niobium precursor. The decomposition of the gels produced by this method was observed with thermogravimetric analysis and evolved gas mass spectrometry.

Facile In Situ Formation of Potassium Sodium Niobate (KNN) Using The Hexaniobate Polyoxometalate.
ChemistryLead-based piezoceramics are the dominant materials used in electronic devices, despite the known toxicity of lead. Developing safer piezoelectric materials has inspired the pursuit of lead-free piezoceramics, however some challenges remain in accessing ...

Morphology of potassium sodium niobate based silicate glass system
Electronic Materials Letters, 2013In this research, the fabrication of lead-free ferroelectric glass-ceramics from the (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 system via incorporation method was carried out. For the incorporation method, calcined KNN was added into glass batches as a heterogeneous nucleating agent. Glass-ceramics KNNs were prepared from two compositions of KNN-SiO2 with a ratio of 75 : 25 (C1)

Phase transitional behavior of potassium sodium niobate thin films
Thin Solid Films, 2013Abstract Combined X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Raman analyses were used to investigate the phase transitions of potassium sodium niobate (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 thin films, prepared from the acetate–alkoxide based precursor solutions with different amounts of alkali acetate excess.
