A Novel Soft Switched Cycloinverter

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2015
A novel soft switched insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT)-based cycloinverter, which is capable of converting voltage at the main frequency to voltage at high frequency, is proposed to improve the previously proposed pulse width modulation cycloinverter.

SOFT-SWITCHING PWM CONVERTER TECHNOLOGIES

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1995
The switched-mode power conversion technologies have evolved from the basic PWM converters to resonant converters, quasi-resonant converters, multi-resonant converters, and most recently, to soft-switching PWM converters. In this paper, several typical resonant techniques and several soft-switching PWM techniques are reviewed, and their merits and ...

Soft switching choppers: A study by the equivalent soft switching cell method

Canadian Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 1990
The switching cell concept was first introduced and used in order to study the micro-phenomena involved in the switching process; parasitics' influence, switching losses, snubbers, soft switching principle and so on. The authors demonstrate that the switching cell can also be a very efficient tool in the study of various converter topologies.

Research on Soft Switching Boost Converter

2011 Second International Conference on Digital Manufacturing & Automation, 2011
This text introduce a sort of new soft switching Boost converter. The conventional Boost converter generates switching loss at turn on and off. So the whole system's efficiency is reduced. The proposed converter utiLizes soft switching method using an auxiLiary switch and resonant cirCuit.

A Single-Stage Soft-Switching AC/DC Converter without Soft-Switching Auxiliary Circuit

2019 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2019
This paper proposed a single-stage soft-switching AC/DC converter without soft-switching auxiliary circuit. The proposed AC/DC converter only uses two main active switches to execute the input power factor correction and regulate the output dc voltage magnitude.

A Soft-Switching Double-Input Micro-Inverter

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2021
In this article, a new high step-up soft-switched double-input micro-inverter is introduced, which is proper for low-power applications. This inverter is composed of a forward resonant inverter and two series boost converters that are coupled electrically and apply five switches.

Soft switching converter with powerlimiting feature

IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 1999
A new zero voltage, soft switching converter is presented. This converter implements ZVS to minimise switching losses and it has special output power limiting characteristics. At a constant switching frequency the output power is limited to a maximum value and power falls at high current and low current.

Soft-switching buck inverter

Journal of Power Electronics, 2020
The soft-switching buck inverter, which is mainly applied to solve the contradictions between the switching frequency and the shoot-through problem along with the dead-time effect, is proposed in this paper. A detailed analysis of the relationship between the range of the duty ratio to realize soft-switching as well as the additional voltage stress and

Soft-switching audiometer

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1984
To provide both for soft-switching, that is, elimination of switching clicks, and rapid rise and decay of tone supply from a frequency generator (10) to an audio transducer (13), two electronic switches (11, 16) are provided, one interrupting connection from the source to an audio amplifier amplifying the signals for the transducer, and the other (16 ...
