Self‐Trust, Social Roles, and Autonomy

open access: yesJournal of Social Philosophy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We develop a comprehensive account of self‐trust in its role‐mediated, general and universal forms, highlight the connection between self‐trust and personal autonomy, and argue that we can have too much or too little self‐trust. Both can undermine personal autonomy.

Revisiting the Hummeln structure, Sweden—A shallow marine Cambrian impact structure

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Hummeln is a simple impact structure located in south‐eastern Sweden. It is approximately 1.2 km in diameter and almost completely covered by a lake. Here, we present the first detailed investigation of impactites and mapping of the 164.25 m deep drill core Hummeln‐1 with a focus on impact metamorphism and the impact process.

Multisite Field Evaluation of Oil Accumulation and Agronomic Performance in Grain and Sweet Sorghums Engineered for Lipid Hyperaccumulation

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Oil sorghum (OS) has been developed by engineering grain (TX430) and sweet (Ramada) genetic backgrounds to accumulate triacylglycerols (TAG) in vegetative tissues as an energy‐dense feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other biofuels. This study evaluated two TX430 OS lines (TxHO‐2, TxHO‐3) and two Ramada OS lines (RmHO‐1, RmHO‐2)

Touching Through: The Puzzle of Mediated Contact

open access: yesPhilosophy and Phenomenological Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT It is natural to think that one person touches another when their bodies make direct contact. However, much interpersonal touch is not like this. We often touch people through things like their clothing. But this raises a puzzle: How can you touch someone without directly touching the surface of their body?

Size of chloroplasts in Arabidopsis mesophyll cells affects jasmonate biosynthesis

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
The relationship between chloroplast structure and hormone biosynthesis capacity is poorly understood. This study shows that mutants harbouring giant chloroplasts produce more jasmonic acid upon mechanical stress than wild‐type plants, suggesting that organellar architecture is a previously unrecognized factor associated with plant hormone biosynthesis
