Mechanically Robust Thermal Insulation With High Compression Stability for Suppressing Thermal Runaway Propagation in Sodium‐Ion Battery Modules

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Schematics illustrate electrospun silica nanofiber fabrication, directional freezing composite assembly, and organic‐inorganic thermal crosslinking. Multiscale pore structures endow the material with robust cyclic compression resistance and low thermal conductivity.

Protein–Anthocyanin Interactions in Food Systems: A Reaction‐Network Perspective on Equilibria, Kinetics, and Degradation Pathways

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
Protein–anthocyanin interactions are reinterpreted beyond binding affinity through a reaction‐network perspective. Distinct protein classes modulate anthocyanin behavior through equilibrium shifts, matrix‐driven protection, self‐assembly, or covalent conjugation.

Antimicrobial Peptides and Peptidomimetics in Foods – A Synthetic Foray

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
This Review discusses AMPs in foods and their syntheses. It espouses facile methods to make them accessible and suggests their utility in the mitigation and eradication of the burgeoning maladies of antimicrobial and multidrug resistance (AMR and MDR).

Non‐Covalent Fluorine–Silica Anchoring of a Molecular Platinum(II) bis(NHC) Catalyst: Structure, Interface Control, and Hydrosilylation Activity

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A Pt(II) bis(NHC) complex is immobilized on mesoporous silica through directional F–Si interactions encoded in the ligand framework. Quantitative 19F{29Si} REDOR experiments and molecular dynamics simulations establish Å‐scale catalyst–support contacts and define the interfacial organization.
