High‐Entropy Ceramic‐Enhanced Deformable Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Noncontact Biomechanical and Raindrop Energy Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A large‐area, deformable high‐entropy‐ceramic (HEC)‐doped triboelectric nanogenerator with a trilayer architecture is developed, consisting of an HEC‐doped triboelectric layer, a graphite‐like textile charge‐storage layer, and stretchable carbon black electrodes.

Bounds on Eddy Current Losses Estimate for Soft Magnetic Composites

open access: yes, 2016
Upper and lower bounds for eddy current losses in Soft Magnetic Composites (SMC) treated as a periodic pattern of circular fibers inside a matrix are analytically deduced. The model is validated using numerical simulations.

Magnetic DNA Origami Nanorotors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic actuation is a powerful and broadly applicable actuation mechanism due to its programmability and compatibility with biological entities. Here we demonstrate magnetic DNA origami nanorotors (MADONAs) by assembling magnetic nanocubes on DNA origami.

A Wireless, Passive Multimodal Wearable Sensor With Decoupled Sensing Capabilities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A wireless passive multimodal electronic skin is presented for the simultaneous perception of pressure, humidity, and odor through a frequency‐divided LC resonator array. The decoupled sensing architecture suppresses cross‐interference and enables independent signal readout under superimposed stimuli while maintaining high stability.

Autonomous Folding of Soft Matter From Living Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Origami structures are endowed with “living” polymer creases that grow, remodel, and stiffen in response to nutrient solutions. This post‐fabrication growth enables autonomous folding, iterative regrowth, and mechanical tuning involving origami assemblies, such as cranes, Miura‐ori tessellations, rigid and non‐rigid square‐twist patterns, establishing ...
