Abstract Myoepitheliomas are extremely rare salivary gland tumors. Myoepithelioma of salivary glands comprised only 1% of all salivary tumors, most commonly occurring in the parotid gland followed by the minor salivary glands in the oral cavity. Involvement of the soft palate is a rare occurrence.

Soft palate reconstruction is complex. It has to restore swallowing and speech replacing the defect by dynamic and sensitive tissues. The means are multiple from direct suture to free flaps. Local flaps have the advantage to bring a mucosa animated by thin muscles, like in sphincteroplasty.
