Shape‐Stabilization of Phase Change Materials with Carbon‐Conscious Poly(hydroxy)Urethane Foams
Poly(hydroxy)urethane (PHU) foam, derivable from carbon dioxide (CO2) and bio‐based resources, is a promising material platform for shape‐stabilizing phase change materials (PCMs). We demonstrate the encapsulation of both paraffins and calcium chloride hexahydrate in PHU foam, achieving 48 stable thermal cycles by introducing 5 wt.% barium carbonate ...

EU Soft Power and the Capability-Expectations Gap
The European Union has in the past ten years frequently emphasised its soft power as its primary currency in international affairs. Yet a systematic analysis of the EU’s foreign policy performance, through the prism of the classic ‘capability ...

Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

This paper comprises an account of outstanding performance by some Africans living in China in the practice of their professions, in their studies, in public service, and in their general interaction with the Chinese people and the Chinese state. The paper argues that these activities, recognised as outstanding by the Chinese and widely reported in the

Off‐centering of cations in pavonite‐structured Ag1.75InSb5.75Se11 (AISS) breaks crystal symmetry, inducing Rashba‐like band splitting and high band degeneracy, thus enhancing Seebeck coefficients. Soft bonds between off‐centered cations and Se atoms increase phonon scattering, achieving low lattice thermal conductivity (0.22 W m−1K−1 at 723 K). Doping

The Beauty Trap: Chinese Theories of “Soft Power”
Currently there are a lot of definitions and conceptions of “soft power” in the world’s scientific literature. The English-language works mainly adopted the term “soft power”, terminology is also varied in Chinese historiography: “ruan shili”, “ruan ...
