Soft commutated soft-two-switch DC/DC converter

In this paper, an improved structure of an isolated DC/DC converter is proposed. The presented structure achieves soft commutation and soft switching conditions. Soft commutation is gained using a passive-clamp circuit at low voltage side of the transformer.

A new zero voltage, soft switching converter is presented. This converter implements ZVS to minimise switching losses and it has special output power limiting characteristics. At a constant switching frequency the output power is limited to a maximum value and power falls at high current and low current.
