“Click”‐Platform: Completely soluble vinyl sulfone‐agarose is synthesized through a direct one‐pot functionalization of the algae polysaccharide. This highly reactive agarose displays thermal gelation behavior with altered rheological properties and can therefore act as a versatile platform material.
