Software metrics for CASE development
[1991] Proceedings The Fifteenth Annual International Computer Software & Applications Conference, 2002The relationship between software models and metrics is examined. The opportunities for CASE application measurement are seen to be much greater than for conventional development. CASE metrics requirements are also seen to be different in a number of important ways from conventional software metrics requirements.

Fuzzy clustering of software metrics
The 12th IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2003. FUZZ '03., 2004We investigate the use of fuzzy clustering for the analysis of software metrics databases. Software metrics are collected at various points during software development, in order to monitor and control the quality of a software product. We use fuzzy clustering to examine three collections of software metrics.

A Metric Model for Trustworthiness of Softwares
2009 IEEE/WIC/ACM International Joint Conference on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology, 2009Trustworthiness of softwares describes the behavior of a software when it finishes its required task. The goal of this paper is to establish a metric model which measures the trustworthiness of a software based on the basic attributes of softwares. These attributes are classified into two classes: critical and non-critical attributes and four trust ...

Scale Free in Software Metrics
30th Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC'06), 2006Software has become a complex piece of work by the collective efforts of many. And it is often hard to predict what the final outcome will be. This transition poses new challenge to the Software Engineering (SE) community. By employing methods from the study of complex network, we investigate the Object Oriented (OO) software metrics from a different ...

Metrics applicable to software design
Annals of Software Engineering, 1995Applying metrics to software is a way to measure and improve software quality. Many metrics apply to software implementations (code), so they cannot be used early in the life cycle. We survey ten modularity and structural complexity metrics applicable to software designs, and summarize the results of empirical validation studies when they are available.

Energy Metric for Software Systems
Software Quality Journal, 2002Acknowledging the intense requirement for low power operation in most portable computing systems, this paper introduces the notion of energy efficient software design and proposes metrics, for evaluating software systems in terms of their energy consumption.

The mathematical validity of software metrics
ACM SIGSOFT Software Engineering Notes, 1996Mathematical modelling, especially in software engineering metrics, requires more emphasis to be placed on the validity of the selected mathematical tools and techniques to be used. There are a plethora of occurrences in the recent literature of the misapplication of quantitative techniques together with errors in the underlying mathematics.
