Dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) regulates trophoblast syncytialization through organelle stress–induced cellular senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The inhibition of mitochondrial dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) impairs syncytialization and induces cellular senescence via mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum stress in human trophoblast stem cells, elevating sFlt1/PlGF levels, a hallmark of placental dysfunction in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Implementation of Loop Pipelining and Assignment Inlining in the C-to-HDL Translator

open access: yesТруды Института системного программирования РАН, 2018
Implementing algorithms for field-programmable gate arrays using a hardware description language is a complex task. Therefore, it would be useful to have a tool that can efficiently translate an algorithm from a high-level language to a hardware ...

Lesion Location and Functional Connections Reveal Cognitive Impairment Networks in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive impairment, fatigue, and depression are common in multiple sclerosis (MS), potentially due to disruption of regional functional connectivity caused by white matter (WM) lesions. We explored whether WM lesions functionally connected to specific brain regions contribute to these MS‐related manifestations.

End-to-End Analysis Automation over Distributed Resources with Luigi Analysis Workflows [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
In particle physics, workflow management systems are primarily used as tailored solutions in dedicated areas such as Monte Carlo production. However, physicists performing data analyses are usually required to steer their individual, complex workflows ...

N-Dimensional Perfect Pipelining [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
In this paper, we introduce a technique to parallelize nested loops at the fine grain level. It is a generalization of Perfect Pipelining which was developed to parallelize a single-nested loop at the fine grain level.

CSF Levels of NPTX2 Are Associated With Less Brain Atrophy Over Time in Cognitively Unimpaired Individuals

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuronal pentraxin 2 (NPTX2) is a synaptic protein involved in synaptic plasticity and regulation of neuronal excitability. Lower baseline cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) NPTX2 levels have been shown to be associated with an earlier onset of mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a pre‐dementia syndrome, even after CSF Alzheimer's Disease (AD)
