The immersed boundary method (IBM) was coupled with the moment representation lattice Boltzmann method (MR‐LBM), reducing bandwidth requirements compared to population‐based LBM formulations. A systematic assessment of IBM parameters was conducted to quantify their effect on computational performance.

Software Metrics: Measuring Haskell [PDF]
Software metrics have been used in software engineering as a mechanism for assessing code quality and for targeting software development activities, such as testing or refactoring, at areas of a program that will most benefit from them.

The effectiveness of refactoring, based on a compatibility testing taxonomy and a dependency graph
In this paper, we describe and then appraise a testing taxonomy proposed by van Deursen and Moonen (VD&M) based on the post-refactoring repeatability of tests.

Safe Concurrency Introduction through Slicing [PDF]
Traditional refactoring is about modifying the structure of existing code without changing its behaviour, but with the aim of making code easier to understand, modify, or reuse.

Refactoring Functional Programs [PDF]
Refactoring is the process of redesigning existing code without changing its functionality. Refactoring has recently come to prominence in the OO community. In this paper we explore the prospects for refactoring functional programs.

Component-Based Java Legacy Code Refactoring
Component-Based Software Engineering (CBSE) claims to improve software modularisation and to embed architectural concerns. Refactoring Java legacy code with CBSE in mind requires first assessing the compliance of legacy code with component programming ...

Provenance legacies override species effects in shaping oak rhizosphere microbiomes and metabolomes
Graphical representation of experimental setup. Quercus spp. seeds were collected at two origins: upper Rhine basin (URB) and north German lowland (NGL). Summary As climate change drives more frequent drought‐heat extremes, selecting drought‐tolerant trees is crucial for future forest resilience. However, the role of tree–microbial associations remains

Software Clone Detection and Refactoring [PDF]
Several studies have been proposed in the literature on software clones from different points of view and covering many correlated features and areas, which are particularly relevant to software maintenance and evolution. In this paper, we describe our experience on clone detection through three different tools and investigate the impact of clone ...
