Experiences of using a game for improving learning in software requirements elicitation

open access: yesComputer Applications in Engineering Education, 2018
Many recent studies have demonstrated that the traditional methods used in teaching software requirements elicitation are ineffective because they frequently produce unskilled graduates who are inappropriately trained to apply their practical knowledge ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Miki: a wiki for synchronous modeling of software requirements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Eliciting a high quality requirements model that can be traced down to implementations is a challenge. Keeping models updated for evolving software systems is a further challenge.

SOFTWARE RISK TAXONOMY CREATION BASED ON THE COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES

open access: yesЕлектроніка та інформаційні технології
Software risks are always a crucially important topic for research because the software development process is quite expensive. The competition is high enough to ignore it.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Proposed ethical framework for software requirements engineering

open access: yesIET Software, 2023
Requirements engineering is a fundamental process in software development phases. At the same time, it is a difficult phase and exposed many ethical violations. The main purpose is proposing an ethical framework for software requirements engineering that

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Requirements Prioritization Based on Benefit and Cost Prediction: A Method Classification Framework [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In early phases of the software development process, requirements prioritization necessarily relies on the specified requirements and on predictions of benefit and cost of individual requirements.
