Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

An Empirical Study on Software Test Effort Estimation for Defense Projects
Effort estimation of software testing plays a vital role in the effective completion of testing. In particular, software test effort estimation in defense projects is not an easy and simple phenomenon, owing to internal and external factors.

Software testing and software fault injection [PDF]
Reliability is one of the most important characteristics of the system quality. It is defined as the probability of failure-free operation of system for a specified period of time in a specified environment. For microprocessor based systems, reliability includes both software and hardware reliability.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

A Novel Adaptive Signal Processing Method Based on Enhanced Empirical Wavelet Transform Technology
Empirical wavelet transform (EWT) is a novel adaptive signal decomposition method, whose main shortcoming is the fact that Fourier segmentation is strongly dependent on the local maxima of the amplitudes of the Fourier spectrum.
