Interfacially Engineered Alginate/Hydroxyapatite Biocomposites With High Strength and Toughness
Pre‐crosslinking alginate with Ca2+ prior to hydroxyapatite (HAP) formation reduces residual Ca2+ bridging and promotes stronger carboxylate‐hydroxyapatite interfacial interactions, yielding composites with markedly higher strength, stiffness, and toughness than those prepared by the opposite sequence.

Roll‐to‐Roll Processing of Biodegradable Multilayer Barrier Packaging Structures
This work demonstrates that novel packaging materials built using biobased and biodegradable materials can be produced in pilot‐scale and converted into functional barrier packaging. The proposed structures are anticipated to make a strong impact in use‐cases where the risk of environmental littering is elevated, such as snacks and take away meals ...

Implications of Restrictions on Imports of Canadian Softwood Lumber to the Southern Softwood Lumber Industry [PDF]
A number of policy options for the U.S. softwood industry are under consideration and there are indications that some form of restriction of the Canadian imports is imminent. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effects of trade restrictions and domestic subsidy on the southern softwood lumber industry.
