Softwood Anatomy: A Review

open access: yesForests, 2023
Although conifers have very homogeneous wood anatomical structure, some of their features allow differentiation of genera or groups of genera. Softwood anatomy is reviewed and the authors have added contributions, grouping features in five blocks (axial ...

PROPAGATION OF SELECTED CLEMATIS L. CULTIVARS BY SOFTWOOD CUTTINGS [PDF]

open access: yesAgricultura, 2009
The goal of the experiments carried out was to compare the rooting ability of two types of softwood cuttings. Nodal softwood cuttings with two leaves were used and bud cuttings with one leaf.

Multilevel Impacts of Habitat Fragmentation on Plant Diversity and Structure in Urban Remnant Forests [PDF]

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2026.
This study of 30 urban remnant forest patches in Guiyang, China, found that edge habitats displayed greater forest structural metrics but reduced plant diversity linked to the clumpiness of surrounding impervious surfaces, whereas interior diversity suffered from high edge contrast and impervious clumpiness.
