The gross anatomy of the male and female reproductive systems and their various components is described and illustrated. Comparisons are made between the genitalia of S. orizicola Muir and the closely related species S. furcifera (Horvath) and S. cubana (Crawford). いもち病防除剤であるイソプロチオランを7月28日または8月1日に水面施用し,セジロウンカとトビイロウンカの密度を調査した。両種とも処理後約1か月を経て無処理区との間に大きな差を生じ,イソプロチオラン処理区では明らかな密度抑制効果が認められた。このような結果をもたらした理由は,(1) ふ化後間もない幼虫を徐々に死亡させる効果があること。(2) 令が進んだものでは,羽化後に成虫の寿命が短縮し,また,産卵抑制作用があらわれること。のようなイソプロチオランの持つ特異な作用によつたものと考えられる。
