Authors' reply to Soh

BMJ, 2014
As Soh correctly points out,1 2 a fully powered study would take a very long time to show any effect on cancer reduction given the long latent period between adenoma formation and the development of invasive …

On the vibrational spectra of HSO and SOH

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2009
The harmonic and fundamental vibrational frequencies, rotational constants, vibration-rotation corrections and Zero point energies of HSO and SOH and their deuterated isomers (DSO and SOD) have been determined employing the CCSD(T) methodology in conjunction with the aug-cc-pV(X+d)Z and cc-pwCVQZ basis sets.

Monitoring the State of Health (SOH) of Green Batteries (GreenBat)

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2023
Here we focus on the study of state of health monitoring of secondary batteries with advanced “green” formulations. European recycle map on battery energy storage plans to replace positive electrodes consisting of cobalt (Co) and fluorinated (F) graphite-based negative electrodes constituents with environmentally sustainable alternatives. Recently, "

Data-driven SOH prediction for EV batteries

2015 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), 2015
As electric vehicles (EVs) have been popularized, research on battery management system (BMS) of EVs' core technology has considerably drawn attention. Among various functions of BMS, predicting state-of-health (SOH) that indexes batteries' aging is the most crucial to determine replacement time of the battery or to estimate driving mileage. This paper

SOC and SOH characterisation of lead acid batteries

IECON 2015 - 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2015
Lead acid batteries are an important part of most energy storage applications. Managing these applications is complicated by the inherent difficulty of following the evolution of important battery parameters; more specifically, the State of Charge (SOC), State of Health (SOH) and Ampere-hour capacity (AHC).

SOC and SOH estimation for Li-ion battery based on an equivalent hydraulic model. Part II: SOH power fade estimation [PDF]

open access: possible2016 American Control Conference (ACC), 2016
This paper aims at developing a management system for a lithium-ion battery in order to monitor its state-of-health. Based on the electrochemical processes within the battery, state-of-health indicators are deduced from the solid phase diffusion coefficients that describe the propagation of lithium in each electrode.

Battery Prognostics: SoC and SoH Prediction

ASME 2012 International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference, 2012
Battery applications (computer, cell phones or even in cars) have been extensively used in our daily life. The reasons for their success and extensive usage in the real world applications are their light weight, smaller sizes and greater energy densities.

Measurements of SOH Using Stack Stress

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2014
In previous ageing studies in which the stack stress of commercially available lithium-ion (LCO/C) pouch cells is monitored during cycling [1], we observe that stack stress (Figs 1a and 2a) is linearly related to cell SOH (Figs 1b and 2b) as shown in Figs 1c and 2c [2].

Online cellphone battery entropy measurement for SoH estimation

2016 13th International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices (SSD), 2016
The widespread use of batteries requires knowledge of their state of health (SoH). In this paper we present a method to use entropy evolution as an aging indicator for batteries. Voltage, current and temperature are monitored in battery cells used in cellphones and in real-time operation.

The Literature Review on Control Methods of SOH and SOC for Supercapacitors

2019 4th International Conference on Control, Robotics and Cybernetics (CRC), 2019
With the development of the technology of energy storage system (ESS), the supercapacitors (SCs) are more widely used. The research focusing on the control technology of the state of health (SOH) and the state of charge (SOC) of SCs occupies a critical position.
