Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

ABSTRACT Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) can be transformed into hydrogen (H2) through several chemical and catalytic processes, offering a promising route for both waste treatment and clean H2 production. This colorless, flammable, and toxic gas is found abundantly in swamps, volcanoes, hot springs, sewages, other natural gas fields, and even in refineries and

Little is known about the impacts of persistent triazine herbicides and biocides on soil microorganisms. Terbutryn toxicity in soil microorganisms was studied using bacterial and fungal growth, substrate induced respiration (SIR) and basal respiration as

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Activitatea respiraţiei din comunităţile microbiene ale cernoziomului arat din Republica Moldova
The respiration activity of the microbial communities in the plowed chernozem was evaluated in fractions of the values of basal respiration (BR), substrate-induced respiration (SIR), as well as of specific respiration (qCO2), in relation to the soil of ...

Global Change greatly alters the quality and quantity of plant litter inputs to soils and further impacts soil respiration. However, it is not fully understood how soil respiration may change with future shifts in litter input.

Plant responses to long-term "in situ" CO₂ enrichment and soil warming at treeline in the Swiss Alps [PDF]
In situ studies lasting several years are essential for predicting how plant growth and ecosystem function will change under rising levels of atmospheric CO₂ and the associated changes in climate. High-latitude and high-elevation ecosystems are predicted

Increases in the number of wild herbivores resulted in understory degradation because of their overgrazing in forest ecosystems. Deer overgrazing has occurred soil erosion in Japanese beech forests where dwarf bamboo used to be densely covered.
