The Third‐Generation Magnetic Super‐Stable Mineralizer: Complete Removal and Separation of Multiple Heavy Metal Pollutants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The 3rd‐generation magnetic super‐stable mineralizer M‐MgAl‐700 features a core‐shell structure, strong superparamagnetism, large surface area, and abundant oxygen defects. It achieves exceptional Cd(II) and As(V) mineralization capacities, reducing both pollutants in co‐contaminated water and soil to meet national standards.

Cotton Recruits Soil‐Derived Delftia tsuruhatensis to Suppress Aphid Detoxification Via Salicylic Acid‐Mediated Defense

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study systematically reveals a complex interactive network involving plants, microbes, and insects, elucidating the ecological and molecular mechanisms by which cotton enhances its resistance to aphids through the active recruitment of the beneficial soil bacterium Delftia tsuruhatensis.

Lunar‐Based Photothermal CO2 Reduction Strategy: Self‐Evolving Transient Active Interface and Band Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐evolving Pd/Ov‐FeTiO3 photothermal catalyst, inspired by lunar soil, enables efficient extraterrestrial CO2 conversion. The formation of transient active interfaces and oxygen vacancies extends light absorption to the infrared range and optimizes electron transfer.

PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI SENGON DAN MANGIUM PADA TANAH PADAT

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Pertanian Indonesia, 2010
The research was conducted to examine the seedling of mangium (Acacia mangium and sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) on compacted soil. Soil was compacted with a proctor test at the different level of bulk density (0.9;1.0; 1.1; 1.2; 1.3 g/cm3) with 10 ...

Textural soil bulk density. I. - Measurement

open access: yes, 1981
The textural soil bulk density is assumed here to be the result of the elementary fabric of soils components. Natural soils samples are taken in order to study the relationships between particle size distribution and textural bulk density values for dry soils. These values are measured on natural and remoulded samples.

Root volume and dry matter of peanut plants as a function of soil bulk density and soil water stress

open access: yes, 2008
Soil compaction may be defined as the pressing of soil to make it denser. Soil compaction makes the soil denser, decreases permeability of gas and water exchange as well as alterations in thermal relations, and increases mechanical strength of the soil ...

Bionic Solar‐Powered Heavy Metal Trap for Eco‐Friendly Sludge Drying and Simultaneous Electricity Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein, we propose a solar‐powered heavy metal trap (SPHT) for sludge disposal. The indoor experiments demonstrated that the sludge water content decreased from 90 % to 31 %, coupled with a decrease in heavy metal content to 6 % at most. Furthermore, the designed SPHT generated an initial potential of 0.10 V, and monitoring this hydrovoltaic potential ...

Influence of thresholding in mass and entropy dimension of 3-D soil images

open access: yes, 2008
With the advent of modern non-destructive tomography techniques, there have been many attempts to analyze 3-D pore space features mainly concentrating on soil structure.

Eco‐Geography Reverses Dominant AMR Reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae: Integron‐Rich Mobilomes and Cross‐Niche Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dominant antimicrobial resistance reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae vary across eco‐geographic settings rather than following a universal pattern. Integrated One Health and global genomic analyses show that lineage structure, integron load, and cross‐niche connectivity shape whether AMR burden accumulates primarily in human or nonhuman compartments ...
