Self‐Sintering Ionogel Binder for Flexible, Recyclable, and Healable Printed Giant Magnetoresistive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...

Effect of biochar application rates on soil properties and growth of Amaranthus caudatus

open access: yesDiscover Agriculture
This study examined the impact of varying biochar application rates on soil characteristics and the growth of Amaranthus caudatus in Ghana. Corn cob biochar, produced at a temperature of 550 °C, was applied at different rates (0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, and 10.0 ...

Classification of Fish Pond Soils in Soil Classification Systems

open access: yesSoil Systems
The classification position of substrates forming on the beds of aquaculture ponds remains a poorly resolved issue at the intersection of pedology, limnology, and aquaculture science. We examine how major international and national soil classification systems—the USDA Soil Taxonomy, the World Reference Base for Soil Resources (WRB), the German ...

Impact of Disorder on Microscopic Superconducting and Normal‐State Responses in a Kagome Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Using depth‐resolved, field‐ and pressure‐dependent μSR$\umu{\rm SR}$ measurements, we show that disorder in Ta‐doped KV3Sb5 drives a crossover from nodal to nodeless superconductivity while strongly modifying the normal‐state magnetic response. Our results reveal that disorder affects superconductivity and magnetism in fundamentally different ways ...

Reconfigurable Au Nanoparticle Monolayers on Regenerated Cellulose Hydrogels: Highly Sensitive SERS Detection of Polystyrene Micro/Nanoplastics With Interpretable Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A regenerated cellulose (RC) hydrogel‐based SERS substrate integrating a Marangoni‐transferred gold nanoparticle self‐assembled monolayer (Au‐SAM) is fabricated. Reswelling‐induced hotspot formation enhances polystyrene micro/nanoplastics (PS MNPs) detection in complex matrices, providing reproducible, high‐throughput SERS signals across diverse ...

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.
