Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Microplastic inhibits the sorption of trichloroethylene on modified biochar

open access: yesWater Science and Technology
Biochar (BC) was used to remove trichloroethylene (TCE) from soil and water phases, and BC modification changed the sorption behavior of pollutants. Microplastics are emerging pollutants in the soil and water phases.

Do long-term applications of organic residues promote copper ecotoxicity in soil? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Amendments with organic residues (OR) are a major source of copper (Cu) contamination in agricultural soils. The chronic soil contamination with Cu raises the problem of potential toxic effects of Cu on soil organisms and then the long-term ...

Polar Lattice‐Distorted Motifs Enable Synergy of Local Polarization/Dipole Fields for Concurrent Glyphosate Wastewater Remediation and CO Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photocatalytic treatment of glyphosate herbicide in agricultural wastewater is achieved through the cooperative effect of the local polarization field and dipole field mediated by lattice‐distorted carbon nitride. Glyphosate is completely degraded via selective C─P bond cleavage with a CO evolution rate of 1166 µmol g−1 h−1.

Speciation of zinc in contaminated soils

open access: yesEnvironmental Pollution, 2008
The chemical speciation of zinc in soil solutions is critical to the understanding of its bioavailability and potential toxic effects. We studied the speciation of Zn in soil solution extracts from 66 contaminated soils representative of a wide range of field conditions in both North America and Europe. Within this dataset, we evaluated the links among
