Endogone Spores in Cultivated Soils
Nature, 1962USING nematological methods of wet sieving and decanting with agricultural soils in Illinois, Gerdemann1,2 extracted two types of large one-celled spores which gave endotrophic mycorrhiza of the phycornycetous type in inoculated plants. The larger of these spores, 183–812µ diam., produced arbuscules but not vesicles in infected roots.

Site-Specific Soil Cultivation
2013Site-specific soil cultivation has several objectives. In primary cultivation, the main objective is the control of the working depth. Signals for this control can be derived from the clay content, the organic matter content, the hydromorphic properties and the slope of the soil. An algorithm can combine these signals to control the working depth.
