Recent Advances in Sustainable Single‐Atom Catalysts from Biomass and Solid Waste: Design, Synthesis and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomass‐ and solid waste‐derived sustainable single‐atom catalysts (Sus‐SACs) provide a cost‐effective and renewable approach to catalyst design. This review summarizes precursor selection, including AI‐assisted screening, synthesis strategies with emphasis on ultrafast methods, and advanced characterization techniques.

Isolation, chemical characterization and biological activity of red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) root saponins

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2014
Crystalline saponins were isolated from red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) roots. They were a mixture of two glycosides showing no haemolytic or fungistatic activity. Acid hydrolysis of these saponins yielded soyasapogenols B. C. D. E and F and rhamnose.

Effects of soil variation between peat soil and mineral soil on fruit quality of pineapple (Ananas Comosus) cultivars: N36 and josapine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Consumption of pineapple is predicted to increase in the near future in which the demand for continuous supply of the fruit becomes of major interest. This research is focused on finding the influence of growth medium between peat soil and mineral soil ...

Organic cultivation of jasmine and tea increases carbon sequestration by changing plant and soil stoichiometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Organic cultivation methods would be a good alternative to conventional cultivation, avoiding the use of industrial fertilizer and reducing the risk of eutrophication, but its impacts on soil elemental composition and stoichiometry warrants to be clearly

A Novel GmSIN1‐GmRNF1a‐GmCSN5a Module Determines Soybean Salt Tolerance and Yield Under Saline Soil Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soybean production is severely threatened by salt stress. This study reveals that the GmSIN1‐GmRNF1a‐GmCSN5a module enhances salt tolerance by stabilizing the GmSIN1 protein. GmRNF1a acts as an E3 ligase to ubiquitinate GmSIN1 for degradation, a process inhibited by GmCSN5a.

A CLE11b‐CLE16 Signaling Relay Mediates Root‐Shoot‐Root Crosstalk for Drought Adaptation in Common Bean

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel root‐shoot‐root signaling relay, mediated by CLE peptides, coordinates drought adaptation in common bean. Root‐derived PvCLE11b translocates acropetally to leaves, inducing PvCLE16 expression via PvTCP10. Leaf‐accumulated PvCLE16 triggers stomatal closure and translocates basipetally to modulate root architecture.
