Subordination of related party claims in insolvency: A suggestive framework for Asian regimes

open access: yesInternational Insolvency Review, EarlyView.
Abstract Related party loans, due to their inherent nature, warrant a higher threshold for scrutiny when compared to loans extended by unrelated parties. Why were these monies advanced as loans, carrying higher priority in insolvency, rather than being invested as share capital?

Genomic epidemiology and lineage‐specific risk stratification of tet(X4)‐mediated tigecycline resistance along the pork production chain: A One Health perspective

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
Genome surveillance across a swine‐associated One Health continuum in China shows that slaughterhouses act as major enrichment nodes for tet(X4)‐mediated tigecycline resistance, driven by putative clonal transmission and stable plasmid backbones. Integrating global datasets enables lineage‐specific risk stratification, highlighting key control points ...

Transforming Agricultural Water Management Through the Water–Energy–Food Nexus: Trends, Opportunities, Barriers and Solutions

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Agricultural water management (AWM) is increasingly transitioning towards transformative thinking, where interconnected sectors, including water, energy and food, are managed holistically. Trends point towards cross‐sectoral and harmonised strategies to optimise water use efficiency and productivity, integrate renewable energy, promote ...

Beyond Tradition: An Integrated Toxicological, Ecological, and Public Health Perspective on Aristolochic Acids

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aristolochia species have long been used in traditional medicine for their presumed anti‐inflammatory, analgesic and antimicrobial properties. However, extensive toxicological and epidemiological evidence now demonstrates that these plants contain aristolochic acids (AAs) I and II, highly potent nephrotoxic, genotoxic, and carcinogenic ...

A Morphological Study of Restoration of Damaged Hair Fiber With Chemical Treatments Using Microscopy Techniques

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, EarlyView.
Assessment of Restoring Chemically Damaged Hair Fibers Using Microscopy and Spectroscopy. ABSTRACT This paper analyses hair restoration products currently on the market that treat chemically processed hair. This study measured the restoration of structural integrity in hair samples from both chemically damaged hair (chemically relaxed, bleached, and ...

Projected Intensification of Hydroclimatic Extremes in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, Under CMIP6 Scenarios

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract presents observed (1963–2023) and projected changes in hydroclimatic extremes in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. It integrates dry‐spell duration (CDD) and extreme precipitation (R95pTOT) using CMIP6 multimodel ensembles under SSP1‐2.6, SSP2‐4.5, and SSP5‐8.5.

Scaling of Short‐Duration, Summer Rainfall Event Temporal Profiles With Warming Over Great Britain

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
Temperature scaling has been used to analyse the temporal profiles of short‐duration, summer rainfall events in Great Britain, for sub‐hourly observed and convection‐permitting climate model (CPM) data. Results show an increase with dewpoint temperature of event total rainfall depth, maximum intensity, concentration and front‐loading.
