A compostable PGS soft surgical robot with interchangeable modules integrates transient Mo tactile and Si thermal sensors for dual feedback. The device preserves its function after clinical‐grade sterilization, demonstrates stable actuation and cardiac tissue grasping with real‐time in vivo pulsatile monitoring, and biodegrades post‐use with soil‐safe,

Impact of long-term soil management on epigeic soil fauna and soil properties of an Inceptisol with high organic matter [PDF]
Agricultural yield depends on a series of ecosystem services provided by soil biota, among other factors. Soil management systems that are more sustainable than conventional tillage mitigate harmful effects to soil, improving the structure and function ...

Inspired by natural silicified wood, a biomimetic mineralized chitin‐derived aerogel is constructed. It can withstand 81 000 times its own weight, and its backside temperature is 130.4°C after exposure to ∼1300°C butane flame for 600 s, exhibiting high‐strength, fire‐resistance, and super thermal‐insulation properties.

No adverse effect of genetically modified antifungal wheat on decomposition dynamics and the soil fauna community--a field study. [PDF]
The cultivation of genetically modified (GM) plants has raised several environmental concerns. One of these concerns regards non-target soil fauna organisms, which play an important role in the decomposition of organic matter and hence are largely ...

Open farmland is a hotspot of soil fauna community around facility farmland during a cold wave event
In the future, the frequency, duration, and intensity of extreme weather may increase, thus posing a threat to soil biodiversity in farmlands, particularly in agricultural production bases. However, little is known about the effect of cold wave events on

Elephant‐skin‐inspired crack networks are programmed in porous diatomaceous earth (DE)‐cement composites using substrate‐guided, stress‐concentration induced fracture. The resulting crack lattices act as capillary conduits that redistribute water, while the porous matrix stores moisture.
