Human health risk assessment of potentially toxic elements (PTEs) from environmental matrices
In assessing human health risk of potentially toxic elements (PTEs), it is not the concentration of PTEs in the environmental matrices that is of greatest concern but the fraction that is absorbed into the body via the exposure pathways.

Nanoscale secondary ion mass spectrometry (Nano SIMS) is established as a powerful analytical tool to visualize and quantify the membrane fouling layers. ABSTRACT Membrane technology has garnered considerable attention for applications in wastewater treatment and resource recovery. Nevertheless, membrane fouling remains a major barrier, yet the lack of

Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Soil health is the soil’s capacity to function in the long term as a living system, i.e. capable of insuring a plant biomass productivity compatible with long-term maintenance of the ecological functions of natural or cultivated ecosystems, and with related processes: contribution to the preservation of natural resources, that is to say air, water, and
