Increasing the Soil Resistance Value in the 20 kV Medium Voltage Distribution Network using the Soil Treatment method

open access: yesProtek: Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Elektro
This study aims to enhance soil resistivity in a 20 kV electrical distribution network using a mixture of rice husk ash and mangrove wood charcoal. Rice husk ash is an additive known to reduce grounding resistance due to its water-absorbing properties ...

Can electrical resistivity tomography describe soil structure evolution?

open access: yes, 2003
Variations of soil structure is significant for the understanding of water and gas transfer in soil profiles. In the context of arable land, soil structure can be compacted due to either agriculture operation (wheel tracks), or hardsetting and crusting ...

Anomaly Effects of Arrays for 3d Geoelectrical Resistivity Imaging using Orthogonal or Parallel 2d Profiles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The effectiveness of using a net of orthogonal or parallel sets of two-dimensional (2D) profiles for threedimensional (3D) geoelectrical resistivity imaging has been evaluated.

Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.

WUSCHEL Transcription Factor: From Stem Cell Maintenance to Crop Improvement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review synthesizes emerging insights into WUSCHEL (WUS) as a central regulator of plant stem cell fate beyond Arabidopsis, highlighting its roles in regeneration, somatic embryogenesis (SE), and stress adaptation across crops. It explores how WUS‐centered regulatory networks, genome editing, and AI‐guided strategies can be leveraged for precise ...

The Maize ZmbHLH118 Transcription Factor Regulates Vacuolar Nitrate Loading by the NO3− Transporter ZmCLCa

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In maize, the bHLH transcription factor ZmbHLH118 directly binds to the promoter of ZmCLCa and inhibits its expression. Tonoplast‐localized ZmCLCa mediates NO3− influx into the vacuole to regulate intracellular NO3− homeostasis, modulating nitrate uptake and metabolism, plant growth, and grain yield.

Transcription Factor Promiscuity Drives Regulatory Rewiring and Evolvability in Gene Networks in Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
When a master transcription factor (TF) is lost, bacteria can rapidly rewire gene regulatory networks by co‐opting related regulators. Using experimental evolution in Pseudomonas fluorescens, we show that TF promiscuity (low‐level, non‐cognate binding) provides the raw material for rewiring. Successful co‐option follows a predictable hierarchy governed
