Advancing Fruit Bioimpedance Monitoring With Sustainable, Soft, And Bio‐Based Electrodes Beyond ECG

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Electrical impedance spectroscopy enables non‐destructive fruit quality monitoring, but conventional ECG and needle electrodes compromise signal stability, fruit physiology, and sustainability. This perspective highlights the transition toward soft, biocompatible, and biodegradable electrode interfaces based on natural substrates, bio‐derived ...

Soil Stabilisation by Analytical Techniques

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science
Abstract Soil stabilisation methods are being used for improving the soft soil for various engineering works such as construction of roads. Suitability and sustainability of the use of locally available materials in stabilizing the soft soils should be analysed. For the present study, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope

Bridging Performance and Fate: A Framework for Sustainable, Composite‐Based Flexible Electronic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Composite‐based flexible electronics integrate biodegradable polymers, conductive networks, and multilayer device architectures to balance electrical performance, mechanical durability, and controlled degradation. Interfacial engineering and encapsulation regulate transport stability and operational lifetime, while programmed disassembly enables ...

Application of various binders in soil stabilisation for road batter protection

open access: yesMagazine of Civil Engineering
The study investigates the use of various binders for soil stabilization to enhance road batter protection under extreme hydraulic conditions. Flash floods and high-velocity water flows in rural areas often lead to significant erosion, posing challenges ...

High Power Density, Low Temperature, Solid Oxide Fuel Cells at Elevated Oxygen Partial Pressure

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Elevated pO2${{p}_{{{{\mathrm{O}}}_2}}}$ improves oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) kinetics, thus reducing electrode area specific resistance (ASR). The effect of pO2${{p}_{{{{\mathrm{O}}}_2}}}$ in open circuit potential (OCP) and ASR is demonstrated on both Sr0.5Sm0.5CoO3‐δ‐Gd0.1Ce0.9O2‐δ (SSC‐GDC) composite cathodes and our recently developed nano‐PSC

A Borane Sandwich Analogue of Ferrocene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The first ferrocene analogue with two boron‐based ligands is identified through a global exploration of the FeB10H20 potential energy surface. The η5,η5‐Fe(B5H10)2 complex emerges as the global minimum, showing that metal coordination inverts borane stability and enables aromatic boron rings inaccessible in isolation.

Ban Glyphosate—Does It Affect the Swedish Farmers' Willingness to Grow Cover Crops?

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The cultivation of cover crops is one of the new Eco‐scheme practices introduced in Sweden. This study examines how the design of policy attributes of these schemes influences farmers' willingness to grow cover crops on arable land, with particular focus on the potential impact of a glyphosate ban.

Comprehensive analysis of cement-stabilised dredged marine soil: Evaluating physical, microstructural, and mechanical characteristics

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering
This study evaluates the index, microstructural, and mechanical behaviour of cement-stabilised soft soil. The marine soil dredged from Hangzhou is taken for the study. Different percentages of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) by dry mass were added to the

Coping With Production Risk: Effects of Sown Plant Diversity on the Attractiveness of Crop Insurance in Grasslands

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Increased frequency of extreme weather events, particularly droughts, threatens grassland farming by destabilizing yields and farms' economic viability. We examine, theoretically and through numerical simulations, how sown plant diversity (natural insurance) influences the attractiveness of indemnity and drought index insurance (formal ...

How Competitive Is Myanmar's Rice Sector? A Comparison of Production Costs and Efficiency

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper analyzes the cost competitiveness of rice production in Myanmar by examining production costs, cost efficiency, and the potential effect of improving cost efficiency on the country's global competitiveness. To achieve this, we conduct a comparative analysis of production costs among major rice‐producing countries and estimate the ...
