Effect of fines on the drying crack resistance of composite soil stabiliser-stabilised gravel soil
Road Materials and Pavement Design, 2018The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of fines on the drying crack resistance of composite soil stabiliser-stabilised gravel soil (CSSSGS) using the following laboratory test...

Soil Stabilisation Using Plastic Waste
2019Stabilisation of a fine-grained soil using plastic waste is experimentally investigation in this study. Samples are prepared by mixing with four different plastic waste contents (0, 0.5, 1, and 1.5% of weight of dry soil). Variations in compaction characteristics and Unconfined compressive strength are investigated as per Indian standard experimental ...

Consolidation Characteristics of Lime Stabilised Soil
Malaysian Journal of Civil Engineering, 2018Soft clay is always associated with settlement and consolidation. Stabilisation ofsoft clay with lime as bearing stratum is an alternative to replacement of thatmaterial. The compression and consolidation characteristics of the stabilisedmaterial need to be fully understood for design purposes.

Collapse upon Wetting of Lime Stabilised Pyroclastic Soils
2012Compacted soils are commonly used in the construction of geotechnical works such as road embankments and earth dams. Several investigators have highlighted the wetting-induced behaviour of compacted soils resulting in collapse of the soil skeleton with increase of volume strains.

Stabilisation of collapsible soils
2015Collapsible soils are prone to considerable volume change as a result of wetting. The presence of collapsible soils under the footing of industrial or residential buildings can bring about irrecoverable and considerable damage to the supporting structures due to settlement of the underlaying soil upon wetting.

Bio-stabilisation of dispersive soils
2015Dispersive soils are among problematic soils encountered in many parts of the world. In these soils, the soil particles disperse into solution upon saturation and thereby increase the piping potential of these soils. Therefore, stabilisation of these soils is of great concern for geotechnical engineers.
