Soil survey is an ongoing process from initial soil mapping through soil survey updates. A national model of linear extensibility percent (LEP) is needed to improve this process. The objective of this work was to develop and validate models for estimating LEP using general linear models and readily available soil survey properties.

Soil Survey for Urban Development
Geoderma, 1973Abstract As an aid to urban planning, a detailed soil survey is underway in the new Mill Woods district, City of Edmonton. Five soil associations — Ellerslie, Mill Woods, Argyll, Hercules, and Beaumont — are being mapped in the area. These soils represent the Chernozemic, Solonetzic, and Gleysolic Orders in the Canadian System of Soil Classification.

The Soil Survey of Bhairavanitippa Project Area- An Irrigation Soil Survey
Madras Agricultural Journal, 1954The soil survey of the Bhairavanitippa Project area was undertaken late in 1950 in order to find out the suitability of the soils and water for irrigation. The command area is situated in the Ceded districts of Bellary and Anantapur, far in the interior of the Deccan Peninsula without any high mountains nearby.
