Simulation of Soil and Tillage-tool Interaction by the Discrete Element Method
The Discrete Element Method (DEM) was used to simulate soil and tillage tool interaction. A frictional-cohesive model was implemented in DEMeter++ software using the Mohr-Coulomb criteria of soil failure. The model parameters were defined based on the mechanical properties of an Oxisol soil from Cuba Island.

ABSTRACT Soil erosion is a major environmental challenge in karst regions of Southwest China, where thin soils and high bedrock exposure accelerate land degradation. This study modified the RUSLE model by incorporating bedrock exposure rate to improve erosion simulation in Guizhou Province from 2000 to 2024.
