Insect‐Microbe‐Based Laccase: Untapped Natural Resource for Industrial and Biotechnological Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
The insect‐microbe interplay fulfills a key ecological role involving the degradation of ligninocellulose biomass. This is coordinated by the secretion of different kinds of proteins, of which ligninolytic enzymes, such as laccases (Lacs), are of prime importance.

Application of a Dynamic Semitransparent Agrivoltaic Panel for Controlling Sunlight Allocation to Solar Cells and Crops

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
Effects of dynamic agrivoltaic semitransparency controls on cucumber seedling growth are assessed for this study using a micro‐cell photovoltaic panel. Seedling growth with 9:30–14:30 agrivoltaic shading is comparable to that without shading. The dynamic shading regulates the electrical energy and crop production allocation.

Design of CsSnBr3/Ga2O3 Hybrid Photodetectors for High UV Selectivity and Bifacial Usage

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
A numerical study investigates a lead‐free CsSnBr3/Ga2O3 p–n heterojunction photodetector, analyzing its electrical and optoelectronic performance. High illumination‐to‐dark current ratios and rectification are achieved. The device operates in self‐powered, bifacial, solar‐blind, and UV–Vis modes with strong responsivity and detectivity.

The pattern of soil water extraction by individual kiwifruit vines : a thesis presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Master of Agricultural Science in Soil Science at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
In order to efficiently design and operate irrigation systems water balance studies are needed. To date few of these studies have been carried out on kiwifruit. Detailed measurements of water extraction were made beneath two 7 year old kiwifruit vines.

Dual‐Working‐Pattern Nanosheet‐Based Hydrogel Sensors for Constructing Human‐Machine and Physiological‐Electric Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hydrogels hold great potential as candidates for next‐generation epidermal electronics; however, an unresolved issue remains: the differentiation and selection of sensing modes in hydrogel sensors. This study integrates series‐parallel conductive nanosheet configurations into an ultra‐soft hydrogel, resulting in enhanced signal intensity and ...

Natural Allelic Variations in IbCHYR1–IbZnFR Complex Regulate Fusarium Root Rot Resistance in Sweet Potato

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FfRlpA2, a conserved Fusarium effector, functions as a protease inhibitor by hijacking the E3 ubiquitin ligase IbCHYR1 to degrade the resistance factor IbZnFR, thereby promoting Fusarium pathogenicity. Conversely, the high dosage Pro::IbZnFRHap2 allele was associated with resistance to root rot disease.
