Polar Lattice‐Distorted Motifs Enable Synergy of Local Polarization/Dipole Fields for Concurrent Glyphosate Wastewater Remediation and CO Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photocatalytic treatment of glyphosate herbicide in agricultural wastewater is achieved through the cooperative effect of the local polarization field and dipole field mediated by lattice‐distorted carbon nitride. Glyphosate is completely degraded via selective C─P bond cleavage with a CO evolution rate of 1166 µmol g−1 h−1.

Nitrogen migration and transformation characteristics of the soil in karst areas under the combined application of oxalic acid and urea inhibitors

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
ObjectiveWe investigated the horizontal migration and transformation of nitrogen in soil with oxalic acid and inhibitors (e.g., nitrification inhibitors, DMPP, urease inhibitors, and NBPT) under different soil water contents to provide a basis for the ...

Effect of row orientation on soil water content and vine water status on a Cabernet franc vineyard in Madrid, spain

open access: yes, 2011
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of row orien¬tation on vine and soil water status in an irrigated vineyard. The trial was developed during 2006, 2007 and 2008, in the South East region of Madrid (Spain) on 5-year old Cabernet franc ...

An investigation into wetland soil-implement mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
An investigation was initiated to obtain some understanding on the behaviour of soil at higher moisture content and to explore the potential of preparing paddy fields with reduced amounts of water.

Mapping the “Supply–Demand–Flow” of Ecosystem Services for Ecosystem Management in China

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a “supply–demand–flow” framework clarifies how ecosystem services move between regions by distinguishing potential and actual supply and demand. Using integrated biophysical–socioeconomic modeling, nine services in China were mapped.

Impacts of conversion from forestry to pasture on soil physical properties of Vitrands (Pumice Soils) in the Central North Island, New Zealand

open access: yes, 2011
At least 30 000 hectares of land has been converted from plantation forest to pasture in the central North Island of New Zealand between 2000 and 2010. When forests are cleared for pasture the soil may undergo changes in soil structure affecting physical

Impacts of natural polymer derivative neutral polysaccharide Jag S and cationic hydroxypropyl polysaccharide Jag C162 on rainfall infiltration on an experimental loess hillslope

open access: yes, 2018
Developing effective measures to improve soil structure and increase soil infiltration in the Loess Plateau located in arid and semiarid areas is important for soil and water conservation.
