Bidirectionally Thermochromic Nanocolloid System for on‐Demand Optical Switching and Agricultural Energy Management

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bidirectionally thermochromic nanocolloid system is developed for facility agriculture. The bidirectional and wide‐temperature response dynamically modulates light radiation, stabilizing the indoor climate, improving supplemental lighting efficiency, and accelerating plant photosynthesis.

High‐Resolution Multispectral Photovoltaic Imagers from Visible to Short‐Wave Infrared

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a monolithic quad‐spectral imager that seamlessly integrates visible and short‐wave infrared detection on a single chip. Through direct photopatterning of an all‐polymer bulk heterojunction and colloidal quantum dots, the device achieves high‐resolution (640 × 512) imaging across 350–2400 nm, enabling multispectral capture for ...

High‐Security X‐Ray Imaging Encryption Based on Irreversible Acid‐Responsive Radioluminescence Memory Scintillator

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An irreversible acid‐responsive radioluminescence memory scintillator, Zn1.3Ga1.4Ge0.3O4:Cr3+@Zn2GeO4:Eu3+ (ZGGO@ZGO), is developed in this work. The engineered dual‐layer security system composed of ZGGO@ZGO and ZGO achieves a combined effect of visual misdirection and sequential logic gates requiring acid treatment and CCD detection, significantly ...

Asymmetric Cu─N─Ru Bridgedsite Nanozyme‐Loaded Injectable Thermogel Boosts Cuproptosis‐Like Death for Multidrug‐Resistant Urinary Tract Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To address multidrug‐resistant urinary tract infections (MDR‐UTIs), we developed Cu‐ZIF8‐Ru nanozyme featuring an asymmetric Cu─N─Ru catalytic site. This unique structure enhances multienzyme‐mimetic activity, eradicating resistant bacteria by inducing a cuproptosis‐like death pathway through intracellular Cu2+ accumulation and energy depletion.

Construction of Skin‐Adaptable Slide‐Ring Hydrogels Based on Bile Acids Derived Polyrotaxanes for Smart Wound Dressing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel β‐cyclodextrin/bile acid‐based slide‐ring hydrogel was prepared via precise host–guest recognition and photopolymerization. This smart hydrogel dressing exhibited skin‐adaptive mechanical properties, pH‐responsive antibacterial activity, and integrated multi‐signal sensing (temperature, blood, and pressure) for advanced wound management ...

Ferroelectric Materials by the Sol-Gel Method

Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, 1997
The sol-gel method is ideally suitable for the preparation of ferroelectric thin films such as LiNbO3, BaTiO3, KNbO3 and PZT. The preparation and properties of polycrystalline, amorphous and single crystal films of these ferroelectric oxides are summarized. The origin of “amorphous ferroelectricity” is discussed.

Combinatorial methods in sol-gel technology

SPIE Proceedings, 2000
Sol-gel processing consists several variable parameters during materials synthesis and post processing steps. The sol-gel synthesis is rather sensitive for the parameters such as pH, temperature, type of catalyst, reaction time etc. However, this sensitivity can be taken as an advantage when developing and studying new materials and their properties ...

Preparation of nanosized CoAl2O4 powders by sol–gel and sol–gel-hydrothermal methods

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2009
Abstract Nanosized cobalt aluminate (CoAl2O4) spinel powders were prepared by the sol–gel and sol–gel-hydrothermal methods using aluminum sec-butoxide, cobalt salts and nitric acid as oxides precursors to form sols and gels. The obtained powders were characterized by XRD, DSC–TGA and SEM.
