Sol-gel synthesis of metal nanocomposites
2010Gold nano composites with ORMOCER matrices have been prepared by a controlled precipitation process from HAuCl4 solutions, using silanes of the type NH2[(CH2)2NH]x(CH2)3Si(OR)3 (with x=1,2) as a stabilizing agents. In the first step, formation and properties of the ligand stabilized colloidal suspensions was investigated.

Sol-Gel Synthesis of BiFeO3 Nanoparticles
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2015Among the various multiferroic materials bismuth iron oxide is a promising candidate due to its relatively high antiferromagnetic Neel temperature and high ferroelectric Curie temperature as compared to all other multiferroic materials. But synthesis of pure phase BiFeO3 is difficult due to the volatile nature of Bi2O3 that leads to bismuth deficient ...

Sol-gel synthesis of zinc orthosilicate
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1994Abstract A two-step sol-gel process between a nucleophilic addition on zinc by the SiOH group was explored to prepare Zn 2 SiO 4 powders from organometallic compounds. Hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate under ⩽ 3N HNO 3 followed by reaction with diethylzinc and then condensation under 0.1 to ∼ 15M NH 4 OH resulted in the formation of amorphous

Sol-Gel Synthesis of l Na2O·XAl2O3 Films
2003Na2O·xAl2O3 (x = 9, 11) films have been obtained by sol-gel method. Crystallization processes during heat treatments have been investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis. A metastable phase with the mullite structure, λ-Na2O·xAl 2O3, has been observed starting from 800°C. Films remained stable after a heat treatment at 1000°C for 250 h.

The synthesis of glasses and ceramics via the sol–gel route is based on the inorganic polymerization of molecular precursors such as metal alkoxides. Precursor structure and reactivity can be chemically controlled via complexation or acid–base catalysis.

Sol-Gel Synthesis of Titanium Dioxide
2017The basic principles of sol-gel synthesis, its advantages and disadvantages along with various applications are discussed. This technique is widely used for making semiconducting metal oxide nanoparticles such as titanium dioxide (TiO2). Depending on the titanium metal precursor type, two different approaches of sol-gel synthesis of TiO2 nanomaterials ...
