Thermal Modelling and Simulation of Parabolic Trough Receiver Tubes
Receiver tubes (or heat collecting elements — HCE) are a key component of parabolic trough solar thermal power plants. They are mounted in the focal line of the collectors, absorb the concentrated solar irradiance and transfer the absorbed energy to the ...

Self‐standing, strong sulfonated covalent organic framework membranes with varied ionic‐group density are developed for osmotic energy conversion. Optimized charge‐governed nanochannels enable highly selective ion transport, delivering a power density of 24.53 W m−2 under seawater/freshwater salinity gradients.

Energetic Comparison of Linear Fresnel and Parabolic Trough Collector Systems
Within the last years, Linear Fresnel (LF) collector systems have been developed as a technical alternative to parabolic trough collector (PT) systems. In the past, LF systems focused on low- and medium temperature applications.

A general, versatile laser‐shock synthesis process is reported to produce various bimetallic CuNi, CuFe, CuCo, and medium‐entropy CuFeCoNi heterostructures, in which crystalline metal nanoparticles are anchored to amorphous hydroxide supports. During nitrate reduction reaction, the heterostructures undergo dynamic amorphous/crystalline reconstruction ...

A solar thermal collector is a solar collector designed to collect heat by absorbing sunlight. The actuality of sun collectors today is unquestionable. They allow to heat dwellings, industrial, commercial buildings, and also to provide a hot water-supply in them.
