The IAU and Solar Eclipses [PDF]
AbstractWe describe the history of solar-eclipse supervision since the formation of the International Astronomical Union, as the supervising body morphed from a full commission to a subcommission to its current status as an Inter-Divisional Working Group of the Education, Outreach and Heritage Division and the Sun and Heliosphere Division.

Understanding Key NaCMC Properties to Optimize Electrodes and Battery Performance
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (NaCMC) polymer properties, namely, the degree of substitution, molecular weight, and an in batteries unpublished impurity, are investigated with regard to their impact on the electrode properties. The gained knowledge then is transferred to further understand the resulting cell performance and understand key figures to ...

The solar eclipse and its relation with higree months
The solar eclipse occurs at short time before the crescent birth moment when the moon near any one of moon orbit nodes It is important to determine the synchronic month which is used to find Higree date.

Photometric and spectroscopic observations of the 2014 eclipse of the complex binary EE Cephei [PDF]
We report photometric and spectroscopic observations of the 2014 eclipse of EE Cep. This proved to be one of the shallower eclipses on record rather than one of the deepest as predicted. The general shape of the eclipse light curve was similar to that of the 2003 eclipse.

Analysis of penumbral eclipse data [PDF]
Two days of data from the ATS-6 1976 eclipse season were analyzed to determine the effects of varying photoelectron flux on spacecraft potential. Particular emphasis was placed on the variation in potential as the satellite entered the earth's penumbra ...

Implementation of Bessel's method for solar eclipses prediction in the WRF-ARW model [PDF]
Solar eclipses are predictable astronomical events that abruptly reduce the incoming solar radiation into the Earth's atmosphere, which frequently results in non-negligible changes in meteorological fields.

SS 433: Stationary lines and primary eclipses [PDF]
Some stationary lines in the emission spectra of SS 433 are eclipsed, but most are not. Lines attributed to a circumbinary disk are not eclipsed, but double in relative intensity during primary eclipse. A C II doublet is eclipsed and Doppler shifts over two periods yield an orbital speed of 176 +/- 13 km/s.
