Spectral irradiance curve calculations for any type of solar eclipse [PDF]
A simple procedure is described for calculating the eclipse function (EF), alpha, and hence the spectral irradiance curve (SIC), (1-alpha), for any type of solar eclipse: namely, the occultation (partial/total) eclipse and the transit (partial/annular ...

Investigating Doping‐Induced Transformations in Cubic ASnO3 (A = Ba, Ca, Sr): An Ab Initio Approach
This study explores how mixing different elements (Ca, Sr, and Ba) in cubic ASnO3 changes its structure and electronic properties. Using advanced calculations, it is shown how these changes affect the material's thermodynamic stability, bandgap, and optical properties, making it useful for applications like transparent electronics and energy‐efficient ...

Redox‐Active Microporous Covalent Organic Frameworks for Additive‐Free Supercapacitors
A covalent organic framework (COF) and carbonadditive‐free device is introduced for two 2D COFs, WW and WPy‐I, featuring reversible redox behavior and pseudocapacitance. Both COFs exhibit high crystallinity and can be grown on different substrates. They show promising specific capacitance (48.9 F g−1 for WW COF) and are successfully used in symmetrical

Contrasting behavior of slow and fast photoreactive gases during the August 21, 2017, solar eclipse
The total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, provided a rare opportunity to observe and test our understanding of atmospheric dynamics and photochemical dependency on solar irradiance.

Classification of eclipsing binaries: attractive systems [PDF]
We have compiled a catalogue of eclipsing variable stars, the largest catalogue, containing classified eclipsing binaries. A procedure for the classification of eclipsing binaries, based on the catalogued data, is also developed. It was applied to unclassified eclipsing binaries.
