Transparent Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes with Conductive Oxide Top Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transparent perovskite light‐emitting diodes (TrPeLEDs) enable simultaneous display and transparency, expanding application possibilities. Using a metal oxide buffer layer and pulsed laser deposition, TrPeLEDs with diverse compositions and architectures are demonstrated.

Correlated Charge Transport in an Organic Coulomb Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advances in the development of organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs), electrically gated organic semiconductors (EGOFETs), and organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) allow for the operation of these devices at very high charge‐carrier densities, where Coulomb interactions between carriers can be expected to become significant.

Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

Spontaneous chlorine production from chloride-containing brines

open access: yesNature Communications
Chlorine, a crucial basic chemical, is primarily produced by the electrolysis of chloride-containing brines, a highly energy-intensive process with a substantial carbon footprint. Notably, concentrated chloride-containing brines, e.g., acidic wastewater,

When Poor Exciton Dissociation Limits Photocurrents in Organic Solar Cells: Why Low Offset Non‐Fullerene Acceptor Blends Can't Be Efficient

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

Reaction intermediates recognized by in situ FTIR spectroscopy in CO2 hydrogenation over the Cu/ZnO/SPP-zeolite catalyst† [PDF]

open access: yesRSC Applied Interfaces
Cu/ZnO nanoparticles embedded in zeolites possess smaller particle sizes than those in the conventional Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst. Therefore, they exhibit a distinctive manner of interaction with the reactants in the catalytic hydrogenation of CO2 to ...
