Improving solar dryer performance with automatic control of auxiliary heated air
This research aims to design and test automatic auxiliary heating unit for solar dryer cabinets to improve drying performance. The auxiliary heating unit utilizes an infrared furnace with cooking gas, a fin heat exchanger, and a blower.

Solar heating of GaAs nanowire solar cells
We use a coupled thermal-optical approach to model the operating temperature rise in GaAs nanowire solar cells. We find that despite more highly concentrated light absorption and lower thermal conductivity, the overall temperature rise in a nanowire structure is no higher than in a planar structure.
