Magnetic Fields of the Solar Atmosphere
1994The Sun is enveloped in a thick atmosphere which can be divided into the following three layers. As the lowest part, the photosphere has a thickness of only about 500 km. Above it is the chromosphere with a thickness of approximately 20,000 km. The outmost part is the corona, which has a scope of several to ten more solar radii.

Magnetic Fields of the Solar System
1994In the preceding four chapters we have presented a comprehensive and overall description of the solar magnetic field. This chapter will be devoted to the magnetic fields of the other celestial bodies in the solar system as well as of interplanetary space.

The magnetic field of the solar corona
2008The structure of the solar corona, on all observable scales, is intimately controlled by the magnetic field. Although direct measurements of the magnetic field are from difficult to impossible, its presence is evident in all spectral ranges where the corona is observable. This review discusses the measurement of coronal magnetic fields and the indirect
