Standard Solar Neutrinos [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys.Proc.Suppl. 48 (1996) 335-342, 1996
The predictions of an improved standard solar model are compared with the observations of the four solar neutrino experiments. The improved model includes premain sequence evolution, element diffusion, partial ionization effects, and all the possible nuclear reactions between the main elements.

Solar Neutrinos and the Decaying Neutrino Hypothesis [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. D 92, 073003 (2015), 2014
We explore, mostly using data from solar neutrino experiments, the hypothesis that the neutrino mass eigenstates are unstable. We find that, by combining $^8$B solar neutrino data with those on $^7$Be and lower-energy solar neutrinos, one obtains a mostly model-independent bound on both the $\nu_1$ and $\nu_2$ lifetimes. We comment on whether a nonzero

Testing sterile neutrino mixing with present and future solar neutrino data [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
We investigate the sensitivity of solar neutrino data to mixing of sterile neutrinos with masses $$\gtrsim $$ ≳  eV. For current data, we perform a Feldman–Cousins analysis to derive a robust limit on the sterile neutrino mixing. The solar neutrino limit

Updated determination of the solar neutrino fluxes from solar neutrino data [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2016
We present an update of the determination of the solar neutrino fluxes from a global analysis of the solar and terrestrial neutrino data in the framework of three-neutrino mixing.

Neutrino masses and solar neutrinos [PDF]

open access: greenPhysical Review D, 1992
It has been pointed out by Bahcall and Bethe and others that all solar-neutrino data can be explained by Mikheyev-Smirnov-Wolfenstein oscillations with $m({\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}})\ensuremath{\sim}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$ eV consistent with ideas of grand unified theories (GUT's).

Solar neutrino detection sensitivity in DARWIN via electron scattering [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We detail the sensitivity of the proposed liquid xenon DARWIN observatory to solar neutrinos via elastic electron scattering. We find that DARWIN will have the potential to measure the fluxes of five solar neutrino components: pp, $$^7$$ 7 Be, $$^{13 ...

Is bi-maximal mixing compatible with the large angle MSW solution of the solar neutrino problem? [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D59:077301,1999, 1998
It is shown that the large angle MSW solution of the solar neutrino problem with a bi-maximal neutrino mixing matrix implies an energy-independent suppression of the solar nu_e flux. The present solar neutrino data exclude this solution of the solar neutrino problem at 99.6% CL.

Solar neutrino scattering with electron into massive sterile neutrino [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
The recent Xenon1T excess can be explained by solar neutrino scattering with electron via a light mediator, either scalar or vector, in addition to many other explanations from the dark sector.

Neutrino decay and solar neutrino seasonal effect [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We consider the possibility of solar neutrino decay as a sub-leading effect on their propagation between production and detection. Using current oscillation data, we set a new lower bound to the ν2 neutrino lifetime at τ2/m2≥7.2×10−4s.eV−1 at 99% C.L ...

Detecting the upturn of the solar 8B neutrino spectrum with LENA [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2014
LENA (Low Energy Neutrino Astronomy) has been proposed as a next generation 50 kt liquid scintillator detector. The large target mass allows a high precision measurement of the solar 8B neutrino spectrum, with an unprecedented energy threshold of 2 MeV ...
