The orientation of plasma structure in the solar wind [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1998
Data from the ISEE 3, IMP 8, and WIND spacecraft are used to find the average east‐west orientation of plasma structures in the solar wind. We determine the lags which, after radial propagation effects are removed, give the best correlations between data sets.

On the Optimal Orientation of Bifacial Solar Modules

open access: yes2024 International Symposium on Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Automation and Motion (SPEEDAM)
This paper presents an accurate simulation strategy to optimize the installation of bifacial photovoltaic modules in terms of orientation and tilt. The tool relies on horizontal irradiance data and ambient temperature taken from PVGIS for assigned times during the day at the selected geographical site and provides the I-V (and P-V) curves at each time.

pysolorie: A Python Package for Optimal Orientation Analysis of Solar Panels

open access: yesJournal of Open Research Software
How can one maximize the solar irradiation energy received by a fixed flat solar panel? The orientation of a solar panel is determined by two angles: the tilt angle and the azimuthal angle.

Tuning the Optoelectronic Properties of Wide Bandgap Perovskites: Data‐Driven Insights from Combinatorial Synthesis and High‐Throughput Experimentation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Combinatorial vapor deposition enables independent tuning of Cs/Pb and Br/Cl in wide‐bandgap perovskites. Automated multimodal mapping of 500+ compositions reveals a high‐energy optical transition that correlates with enhanced photoluminescence, defining a practical Cs/Pb window.

The Solar Orientation of the Gothic Cathedrals of France [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Sciences, 2014
The orientation of the Gothic cathedrals of France can be easily discussed and investigated using the satellite maps. Except a few of them, these buildings have the apse facing the rising sun, according to a practice adopted during the medieval period.Read Complete Article at ijSciences: V3201403484 AND DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.18483/ijSci ...

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges
