A physical mechanism of solar corona heating [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
Time profiles of solar soft X-ray microflares and structure soft X-ray solar corona thermal background are studied on RHESSI data. The observations of 2003 year are analyzed. Decrease fluxe of solar soft X-ray microflares and thermal background of solar corona in the X-ray range 2-15 kev are revealed.

Efficient and Scalable Radiative Cooling for Photovoltaics Using Solution‐Processable and Solar‐Transparent Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

LONG-TERM SOLAR FLUX OBSERVATIONS WITH IRKUTSK INCOHERENT SCATTER RADAR (IISR) IN 2011–2019

open access: yesSolar-Terrestrial Physics, 2020
Irkutsk incoherent scatter radar (IISR) is an oblongish horn antenna that operates in a meter waveband (154–162 MHz), has a 0.5°×20° beam, and a frequency steering allowing us to tilt the beam by 30° to the south.

Carrier trapping and recombination: the role of defect physics in enhancing the open circuit voltage of metal halide perovskite solar cells

open access: yes, 2016
One of the greatest attributes of metal halide perovskite solar cells is their surprisingly low loss in potential between bandgap and open-circuit voltage, despite the fact that they suffer from a non-negligible density of sub gap defect states. Here, we

Physics of solar-like oscillations [PDF]

open access: yesSolar Physics, 2004
AbstractThe physics of solar and stellar oscillations determine their observable characteristics. I provide a brief overview of the properties of solar-like oscillations, excited by stochastic processes, in other stars. In addition, I consider the current state of investigations of such oscillations, as well as the prospects for an improved ...

Stabilized Intermediate Phase Via Pseudo‐Halide Anions Toward Highly Efficient and Light‐Soaking Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.

Poly(1,4‐anthraquinone) as an Organic Electrode Material: Interplay of the Electronic and Structural Properties due to the Unusual Lone‐Pair‐π Conjugation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
In this study, the unique role of the unusual lone‐pair‐π conjugation mechanism in poly(1,4‐anthraquinone) (P14AQ) is explored as an organic electrode material. Unlike traditional π‐π interactions, P14AQ's conjugation involves lone pairs of oxygen atoms interacting with the π cloud of adjacent units, enabling stable charge transport even with minimal π‐

Study of Solar Jets and Related Flares [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Solar jets are ubiquitous transient collimated mass outflows in the solar atmosphere over a wide range of sizes from small scale nanojets to a few solar radii, embedded in the solar chromosphere to solar corona. Jets are frequently accompanied by solar flares and these flares provide the force to propagate the plasma material upward and could be ...

Atmospheric fluctuations below 0.1 Hz during drift-scan solar diameter measurements

open access: yes, 2011
Measurements of the power spectrum of the seeing in the range 0.001-1 Hz have been performed in order to understand the criticity of the transits' method for solar diameter monitoring.Comment: 3 pages, 3 figures, proc.
