Unlocking High‐Performance in All‐Organic Solar Cells by the Development of Organic Electrodes with No Acid and High‐Temperature Treatment and the Effective Preparation Thereof on Organic Multilayer Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The developed all‐organic solar cells achieve a power conversion efficiency of 8.7%, more than double the previous record. In addition, bioplastic substrates are used to produce environmentally friendly solar cells with an efficiency of 8.6%. These results are achieved by developing high‐performance organic electrodes without acid doping or high ...

Harnessing Outer Space for Improved Electrocaloric Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel radiative heat sink/source‐integrated electrocaloric (R‐iEC) system combines the electrocaloric (EC) effect with a thermally conductive radiative cooler (TCRC) to address heat dissipation limitations in EC devices. Utilizing outer space as a heat sink, the system achieves up to 240 W m−2 of heat dissipation performance, making it highly ...

Solar Neutrinos in 2011 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
I give an overview of the recent developments in the solar neutrino field. I focus on the Borexino detector, which has uncovered the solar neutrino spectrum below 5 MeV, providing new tests and confirmation for solar neutrino oscillations. I report on the updated measurements of the 8B solar neutrino flux by water Cherenkov and organic scintillator ...

Switching From Acceptor to FRET Donor: How the Organic Solar Cell Architecture Can Change the Role of a Chromophore

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.

Interfacial Contact Engineering Enables Giant‐Performance Semiconductor Nanomembrane Optoelectronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work investigates modifying interfacial contacts in realizing giant‐performance semiconductor nanomembrane optoelectronics. Strategies, including surface reaction and buffer layer work‐function modulation, are explored to boost the Schottky barrier. An emerging material of YbOx is utilized for near‐ideal Ohmic contact.

Plasma and solar physics. The solar flare phenomenon

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1979
The main topics of solar physics to which plasma physics is relevant are briefly presented. The solar flare phenomenon is described and some present theories concerning the preflare state and flare triggering reviewed, namely the theory based on the existence of a turning point in the set of possible preflare equilibria and the theory based on an ...
