X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...

The Use of Solar Shading in a Nearly Zero-Energy Neighbourhood [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
The use of solar shading can have an important influence on the internal heat gains, especially in zero-energy buildings. However, the research in literature is almost uniquely focused on offices, while information on the use of solar shading in ...

Extremely Long Electron Lifetime in Spontaneously Passivated Polycrystalline Perovskite Layers via Illumination‐Assisted Trap Filling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are promising next‐generation photovoltaics. The high performance of PSCs is attributed to the long carrier lifetimes of perovskite photoabsorbers. However, the carrier lifetimes of polycrystalline perovskite layers, which serve as the photoabsorbers in practical PSCs, have remained limited to several tens of ...

3D pressure-corrected ballistic extrapolation of solar wind speed in the inner heliosphere

open access: yesJournal of Space Weather and Space Climate
Solar wind parameters at different locations in the inner heliosphere can be estimated using various solar wind extrapolation methods. The simple ballistic method extrapolates solar wind parameters from the point of measurement to a chosen heliospheric ...

Improving Photovoltaic Panel (PV) Efficiency via Two Axis Sun Tracking System

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2020
In this paper two axis sun tracking method is used to absorb maximum power from the sun's rays on the solar panel via calculating the sun’s altitude and azimuth angles, which describe the solar position on the Iraqi capital Baghdad for the hours 6:00, 7 ...

Real Time Monitoring System on Solar Panel Orientation Control Using Visual Basic

open access: yesJournal of Applied Engineering and Technological Science, 2021
Problems that often occur in the use of solar panels are the efficiency of solar panels and monitoring of solar panel generating systems. Monitoring of the output parameters of solar panels is very necessary to assess the performance and efficiency of a ...

Room‐Temperature Synthesis of Strongly Confined Lead Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
CsPbX3${\rm CsPbX}_3$ lead halide perovskite quantum dots (QDs) are synthesized in a room‐temperature, five‐minute synthesis, yielding size‐controlled QDs with bright, tunable emission governed by reaction conditions and halide composition. A strongly binding ligand, OD‐PEA, ensures months‐long stability under ambient conditions and facilitates their ...

Positions of 517-Megacycle Solar Bursts.

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 1961
Abstract : A 517-megacycle swept-lobe interferometer has been placed in operation at the Sampson Station of the Observatory of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. As the sun moves across the sky, a phase recorder indicates in a saw- tooth pattern the position between the lobes occupied by the center of gravity of the radiation from the sun.

Correlated Metal LaNiO3 as a p‐Type Transparent Conductor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
p‐type transparent conducting oxides are needed to enable superstrate solar cell geometries with n‐type absorbers. The p‐type correlated metal LaNiO3 combines high optical transmission with low electrical resistivity and is compatible with a range of scalable deposition processes.
