Transverse Oscillation of Prominence and Filament Induced by an Extreme-ultraviolet Wave from the Far Side of the Sun

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In this paper, we report our multi-angle observations of the transverse oscillation of a prominence and a filament induced by an EUV wave originating from the far side of the Sun on 2014 September 1. The prominence oscillation was simultaneously observed

Guided filtering for solar image/video processing

open access: yesSolar-Terrestrial Physics, 2017
A new image enhancement algorithm employing guided filtering is proposed in this work for enhancement of solar images and videos, so that users can easily figure out important fine structures imbedded in the recorded images/movies for solar observation ...

Investigation of Halogen Substitution Effects in π‐Conjugated Organic Ligands of Chiral Hybrid Perovskites on Their Chiroptical Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The role of novel thiophene‐based ligands with halogen substitutions in enhancing the chiroptical and optoelectronic properties of 2D chiral HOIPs has been investigated. By tailoring ligand design, enhanced CD and CPL properties are achieved, with improved CPL discrimination in photodetectors.

Cospatial Multiwavelength Observations of an Eruptive Prominence as the Bright Core of a Coronal Mass Ejection

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Coronal mass ejections (CMEs), as seen in white-light (WL) coronagraphs, often exhibit a classic three-part structure consisting of a bright front, a dark cavity, and a bright core.

Spectropolarimetry of solar prominences

open access: yes, 2009
A large set of high precision full-Stokes spectropolarimetric observations of prominences in He-D3, Halpha and Hbeta lines has been recorded with the ZIMPOL polarimeter at the Gregory-Coude Telescope in Locarno. The observational technique allows us to obtain measurements free from seeing induced spurious effects.

Evaluation of the Dual Impact of Nanotechnologies on Health and Environment Through Alternative Bridging Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores how alternative invertebrate and small‐vertebrate models advance the evaluation of nanomaterials across medicine and environmental science. By bridging cellular and organismal levels, these models enable integrated assessment of toxicity, biodistribution, and therapeutic performance.

Magnetic Dip Found in a Quiescent Prominence Foot via Observation and Simulation

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Solar prominences (or filaments) are cooler and denser plasma suspended in the much hotter and rarefied solar corona. When viewed on the solar disk, filament barbs or feet protrude laterally from the filament spine.

Azaporphyrinoid‐Based Photo‐ and Electroactive Architectures for Advanced Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐standing collaboration between the Torres and Guldi groups has yielded diverse azaporphyrinoid‐based donor‐acceptor nanohybrids with promising applications in solar energy conversion. This conspectus highlights key molecular platforms and structure‐function relationships that govern light and charge management, supporting the rational design of ...

Observation of Persistent Propagating Waves in a Solar Prominence

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Spectropolarimetric observation of a quiescent prominence was performed in He i 1083 nm. With the slit of the spectrograph fixed on the prominence, we obtained a time series of Stokes profiles for a duration of 108 minutes with a cadence of 8 s.

Stable P‐Type PbS Quantum Dot Ink for all‐Blade‐Coated Short‐Wavelength Infrared Photodiodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of p‐type PbS quantum dot ink is achieved through hydrogen bonding between fluorinated alcohols solvent and the MP ligand, allowing a six‐day shelf‐life. The solvent does not compromise pre‐deposited layers, enabling fully blade‐coated photodiodes in both n–p and p–n architectures, with enhanced detectivity and bandwidth compared to layer‐
